  • Intensive consultation with internal stakeholders and students.
  • Project scoping to determine who our audiences are, what their needs are and how content can best address their needs.
  • Currently engaged as a contract copywriter and user experience writer for the Current Students Web Redevelopment Project. Project involves moving content from an old, un-responsive platform into a new, responsive content management system. Content and structure have been completely re-written in line with a user-needs approach. The project has added value for both our internal stakeholders and users, greatly enhancing the website’s SEO, usability and accessibility.

Communications and administration

  • Worked closely with the college chaplains to create and implement a series of communications and events aimed at building engagement with younger and more diverse demographics within the campus.
  • Initiatives included strategic engagement with the LGTBI community on campus, starting a weekly e-news and a series of activities that allowed different student groups to meet and network. Student feedback and engagement was overwhelmingly positive.

  • Revised the organisational style guide to reflect strategic communications changes at the Australian Drug Foundation and to support the rollout of the organisation’s revised Web strategy.
  • Conducted content audits of key organisational websites. The findings of these audits have helped determine how the organisation manages and archives its content and intellectual property into the future.

  • Website management, e-news, social media, revising the style guide.
  • Managed transition from old, custom-built content management system to new platform that gave the organisation the flexibility it needed to manage content, integrate its social media presence and save significant money in on-going technical and design support. Selected the vendor, migrated the content and helped train staff internally to ensure a smooth transition from the old system to the new.  An immediate outcome of the project, aside from reduced costs to the organisation, was greatly enhanced SEO and user traffic.
